Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocols

Our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our patients and our care team members, and we have taken a number of steps to achieve this goal so that when you receive care from us, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office follows and exceeds the recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and OSHA.

Pre-Appointment Screening Process:

*Patients are to complete a screening questionnaire thru our online portal or over the phone to assess their potential COVID-19 risk. Patients are asked to reschedule appointments with potential risk.

In-Office Patient Registration and Safety Standard:

*Patients are to complete a patient screening form using our online portal or over the phone before they are seen.

*All patients temperature will be checked with a touchless forehead scan thermometer before entering the office.

*Any patients with any potential signs and symptoms of infection COVID-19 will be asked to reschedule their appointments.

*All patients are required to wear masks upon entry to the office and must wash their hands with the provided hand sanitizer. Masks are available for our patients upon request.

*Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. No patients are allowed in the waiting room and patients are asked to wear masks and wait outside the office, preferably in the car, before their appointments. Only those scheduled for care should be in the office. Family and friends of the patients are asked to wait outside of the office unless the patients require personal assistance during their visit. If a patients require personal assistance during an appointment, their companions are checked for symptoms, should wear a mask, and wait outside during the appointment.

Implementing the highest Health and Safety Protocols Standard in Our Office:

*Our office is equipped with the most advanced hospital grade HEPA filtration system in the medical field with built in UV system. Its medical-grade HEPA filter for ultra-fine particulates, which filters down to 0.003 microns (most HEPA filtration system filters only down to 0.3 microns). It also incorporates a patented UV light system, which irradiates viruses and other pathogens, killing them down to 0.01 microns. Our powerful filtration system essentially sterilizes the whole treatment room between patients… 2 times in every 10 minutes.

According to the recently published New England Journal of Medicine article on COVID-19, the COVID-19 virus sizes are ranging from 0.06 to 0.14 microns. While COVID virus is extremely small at (0.06 to 0.14 microns), it isn't smaller than the 0.003 microns capture rate of our hospital-grade HEPA filtration system.

*Using extraoral evacuation system with our HEPA filtration system in conjunction with multiple chairside high speed evacuation systems to achieve the highest level of aerosol control and dramatically decrease for any potential aerosol contaminants.

*ULV cold fogger with HOCL disinfectant used throughout the day.

*Installed clear protective barrier between front desk administration and patients.

*Covid-19 Employee Screening: Implementing a daily health screening check point and log for all employees entering the workplace. Temperature screening of all care teams twice a day.

*All care team members are equipped with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, gowns, head covers, mask, goggle and face shield protection closely follows the guidance from the American Dental Association (ADA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

*On a regular schedule, our care team members clean and disinfect public areas such as chairs, light switches, door knobs, bathrooms, front desk, floor and anything else with which people come in contact with hospital-grade disinfectants.

*Peroxide mouth rinse before and after treatment.

Post-Procedural Patient Exit:

*Follow up with patients in 48 hours for any signs or symptoms and instruct patients to report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 within the next 14 days.
